Ben Lloyd CFP
Chartered Financial PlannerAt a time when there is an overload of financial information, people need someone to filter the noise, find what will work for them specifically, and help them achieve that.
I joined Tucana in 2017 because I like their personal and sophisticated approach to understanding clients requirements and their philosophy of scientific investing.
We tailor each investment to what each individual client needs – without getting caught up in emotional bias.
Before joining Tucana, I worked for a bank, a national IFA consultancy, and some of the top 10 UK accountancy firms, helping both private clients and SMEs to make the most of their money.
You might be interested in my qualifications. Well, I’m a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, a Chartered Financial Planner and a Certified Financial Planner. I have also completed the STEP (Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners) certificate for financial services. This means I am one of the most qualified advisers in the country to help you make the right choices.
I grew up in York and became a financial advisor straight after leaving Sheffield Hallam University with a BSc degree. I felt this offered the best opportunity for me to use my technical skills and knowledge whilst dealing with people who could benefit from this.
My message to clients
“My role is to help you make the most of what you’ve got – to ensure you don’t run out of money before you run out of time.”
I live in Stourport on Severn with my wife Samantha, a solicitor who I met at university, and our two children plus a puppy.
I enjoy walking (mainly with the dog) indoor climbing, mountain biking, golf and the occasional run. However, after completing the London marathon for The Prostate Cancer charity in 2011 my long distance running days are now happily behind me.
Client comment (from LinkedIn)
“I approached Ben for advice and information in relation to my pension and general financial matters. He was very thorough in his approach and gained a complete picture of my current situation and future plans before providing several sound recommendations that I was happy to accept. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ben – as well as providing very useful guidance in a professional manner he’s also very friendly and personable.”
